1. About this document
1.1 This document is one of the documents listed in section 4.2 of our Terms of Service. It governs Circles, the community spaces on Tokyofishmarket. Tokyofishmarket is operated by Manda SENC, 418, avenue des Pins Ouest, bureau 40, Montréal (Québec) H2W 1S2, Canada. "We" means Manda SENC. General platform rules are in Acceptable Use, which applies to Circles as well.
2. Eligibility
2.1 You need an account in good standing to take part in a Circle. A Circle's moderators may set further membership rules for their own Circle, as long as those rules do not conflict with platform policy.
3. What you can post
- text posts, images, links, polls and quizzes, relevant to the Circle's focus;
- fan art, collection photos, reviews, discussions and memes;
- AI-generated content, tagged as such;
- cross-posting, as long as it is not spam.
4. What you can't post
- harassment, threats or targeted abuse;
- child sexual abuse material, in any form;
- spam, malware or a phishing link;
- doxxing or another person's private information;
- impersonation of another user or of our staff;
- unauthorised advertising;
- content that infringes copyright.
5. Adult content
5.1 Adult content is only allowed in a Circle designated for it, and is shown only to a user allowed to see adult content under section 5.3 of the Terms of Service. Content that sexualises a minor is banned everywhere on the platform, with no exception. Posting adult content outside a designated Circle is removed on sight.
6. Image and media uploads
- you must own the content you post or hold the right to share it;
- it must not infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- by uploading, you grant us the licence described in section 10 of the Terms of Service;
- fan works are posted at your own risk as to third-party intellectual property;
- size and format limits are enforced.
7. Collection showcases
- photos must depict items you actually own;
- do not misrepresent your collection;
- do not pass off an official or stock photo as your own;
- an authentication badge is informational. It is not a legal guarantee.
8. Canonical data contributions
8.1 When you contribute to the product catalogue, you grant us the licence described in section 10 of the Terms of Service, and it is displayed to every user of the platform. Your contribution must be factually accurate. Moderators may edit or reject a contribution. Discuss disagreements civilly; edit wars are prohibited. Do not copy verbatim from a copyrighted source.
9. Moderation
9.1 Circle moderators may remove content from their Circle, mute or remove members from it, set its rules, and manage its word and link filters, as Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions, section 6, describes. All moderation actions are logged in the Circle's audit trail. Moderators are bound by these guidelines like everyone else.
9.2 You may ask us to review a moderator's decision, as section 14.5 of the Terms of Service and section 6.3 of Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions describe.
10. Reporting
10.1 Use the report button on the content to flag a violation. A report on a Circle post or comment is reviewed by that Circle's moderators first, and escalated to us where needed, as Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions describes. Filing a false report is itself a violation.
11. Gamification in Circles
11.1 The fair-play rules in section 11 of Gamification & Virtual Items apply here: automated XP farming, alternate accounts used to farm rewards, and coordinated manipulation of votes or engagement are prohibited. Exploiting a bug in the gamification system leads to the sanctions in that document.
12. Direct messages
12.1 The content rules of this document apply to direct messages as they do to public Circle content. Unsolicited commercial messages are prohibited. Harassment through direct messages is treated the same as public harassment.
13. Enforcement
13.1 A breach of this document is handled as section 14 of the Terms of Service describes: content removal, temporary muting, removal from a Circle, suspension of the platform account, or permanent termination, and, where relevant, the withdrawal of a virtual item under section 11 of Gamification & Virtual Items. We may refer conduct that is a crime to the police. We tell you what we did and why, and you may appeal, as Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions describes.
14. Changes and contact
14.1 We change this document only as section 19 of the Terms of Service allows. Every version is kept and dated, and the history is linked from the foot of this page.
