Version 2026.1, in effect since September 25, 2026

1. About this document

1.1 This document is one of the documents listed in section 4.2 of our Terms of Service and carries out section 12.1 of those terms. Tokyofishmarket is operated by Manda SENC, 418, avenue des Pins Ouest, bureau 40, Montréal (Québec) H2W 1S2, Canada. "We" means Manda SENC. "You" means anyone using the platform.

1.2 This document applies everywhere on the platform: the marketplace, Circles, articles, reviews, profiles, messages and the gamification system. Rules specific to selling are in the Seller Terms; rules specific to Circles are in the Community Guidelines; rules for virtual items are in Gamification & Virtual Items.

2. Fraud and deception

You must not:

  • create a fake account or impersonate another person;
  • give false information on your profile, in a listing, or in a report;
  • use a stolen payment method, or carry out a fraudulent transaction;
  • file a false claim, chargeback or dispute.

3. Abuse and harassment

You must not:

  • harass, stalk or threaten another user;
  • share another person's private information without their consent (doxxing);
  • coordinate a campaign against an individual or a group;
  • direct hate speech at a person's race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion or disability.

4. Accounts and system abuse

4.1 One person, one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred (Terms of Service, section 6.1). Opening more than one account to get around a restriction is a breach of these rules.

4.2 Without our written permission, you must not access the platform by automated means, including bots, scrapers and crawlers, or extract its content to build a database, a competing service or a data set for training machine learning models (Terms of Service, section 12.2). A search engine that follows our robots.txt file may index public pages.

4.3 You must not:

  • access any system, account or data without authorisation;
  • upload malware, a virus or exploitative code;
  • exploit a bug or a vulnerability instead of reporting it to us;
  • circumvent a rate limit, a security measure or an access control.

5. Manipulation

You must not:

  • manipulate votes or fake engagement;
  • place a shill bid or write or buy a fake review;
  • use bots, alternate accounts or coordination to farm XP, points or other rewards;
  • manipulate prices on marketplace listings.

6. Prohibited content

The following is never allowed on the platform, in any form, including drawn, animated or AI-generated depictions:

  • child sexual abuse material;
  • content that promotes terrorism or that depicts graphic violence for its own sake;
  • content that is illegal under Canadian law;
  • content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

Report content you believe is illegal as Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions describes. Report a copyright infringement under DMCA & Copyright.

7. Commercial abuse

You must not:

  • knowingly sell counterfeit goods;
  • carry out off-platform a transaction found on the platform, to avoid our fees or buyer protection;
  • advertise or send spam without authorisation.

Rules specific to sellers, including sanctions for a breach, are in section 9 of the Seller Terms.

8. Account security

You are responsible for your sign-in credentials, as section 6.3 of the Terms of Service describes. Use a strong password, enable two-factor authentication, and tell us at once at support@tokyofishmarket.com if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

9. Vulnerability disclosure

If you find a security issue, report it to support@tokyofishmarket.com instead of exploiting it. We work with people who disclose vulnerabilities responsibly.

10. Enforcement

10.1 A breach of this document is handled as section 14 of the Terms of Service describes: we may warn you, remove content, restrict features, suspend your ability to sell, or suspend or close your account. Where you obtained a virtual item through a breach, we may withdraw it (Gamification & Virtual Items, section 11). Our action is proportionate to the breach, and we may refer conduct that is a crime to the police.

10.2 We tell you what we did and why, and you may appeal, as Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions describes.

11. Reporting a violation

Use the report button on the content, or write to legal@tokyofishmarket.com, as Reporting Illegal Content and Appealing Our Decisions describes.

12. Changes and contact
