1. Who ships your order
1.1 Each seller on Tokyofishmarket ships their own orders. The seller chooses the carrier, packs the item and sends it to the address you gave at checkout. As section 7.1 of the Terms of Service says, the seller is responsible for delivering the item.
1.2 For items on listings marked TFM Official, we are the seller, and we ship them.
1.3 Each seller sets up a shipping profile. In it, the seller states the country they ship from, the countries they ship to, their rates and their handling time. Sellers can ship from, and to, the countries our platform supports.
1.4 Our duties towards sellers on shipping are set out in the Seller Terms.
2. Where items ship
2.1 Each seller decides which countries they ship to. When we know your country, the listing tells you whether the seller ships there.
2.2 Check that line before you order. If the listing says the seller does not ship to your country, do not order.
3. What you pay for shipping
3.1 You pay for shipping at checkout, at the rate in the seller's shipping profile for your delivery address. Checkout shows it as its own line before you confirm the order. The total shown at checkout is the full amount you pay (Terms of Service, section 8.1).
3.2 A seller may not ask you to pay for shipping, or for anything else, outside checkout. If a seller asks you to, report it to support@tokyofishmarket.com.
3.3 The sales taxes we are required to collect are also shown at checkout before you confirm (Payments & Payouts, section 3). Duties and taxes that your country charges on import are not part of the checkout amount. Section 6 explains them.
3.4 Fees that sellers pay are set out in the Seller Terms and in Payments & Payouts. Buyers pay no fee that is not shown at checkout.
4. When your order ships
4.1 After you order, the seller has 72 hours to confirm it. If the seller does not confirm it in time, we cancel it automatically and you get back the full amount you paid.
4.2 After confirming, the seller ships within the handling time in their shipping profile.
4.3 You can cancel an order until the seller ships it. Section 2 of Returns & Refunds explains how.
4.4 Pre-orders ship on the timeline shown on their listing. Digital items are not shipped. They are available as soon as your payment goes through.
4.5 Your address stays private. The seller sees it only to ship your order.
5. Tracking and delivery
5.1 Sellers must ship with tracking, as the Seller Terms require. When the seller ships, they mark the order as shipped and enter the carrier and the tracking number.
5.2 When a shipment is tracked through our carrier integration, you can follow it from the order in your purchases.
5.3 An order is marked delivered when the carrier's tracking reports it delivered, or when our team confirms delivery.
5.4 The moment your order is marked delivered starts the 48-hour window to report a problem. This is the only claim window on Tokyofishmarket, and it is the same one set out in section 3 of Returns & Refunds. Check your item as soon as it arrives. TFM Official items can also be returned within 30 days of delivery under section 7 of Returns & Refunds. That return period does not extend this window.
6. Customs, duties and import taxes
6.1 Many items cross a border. Your country may charge customs duties, import taxes or a clearance fee when the parcel arrives.
6.2 We do not collect these charges at checkout, and they are not part of the price. The carrier or your customs authority may ask you to pay them before delivery. You pay them, unless the listing says otherwise.
6.3 The seller must declare the contents and value of the parcel truthfully on the customs form.
6.4 If a parcel is held at customs, contact the seller through Tokyofishmarket or write to support@tokyofishmarket.com.
7. Delays, loss and damage
7.1 Carriers and customs sometimes cause delays that neither the seller nor we control.
7.2 If your order does not arrive, section 4 of Returns & Refunds explains what to do. We do not pay the seller until the order is marked delivered, so the money remains available to refund you.
7.3 If your order arrives damaged, report it within the 48-hour window in 5.4. Keep the item and its packaging.
8. Your legal rights
8.1 Nothing in this policy limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, including the right to receive what you ordered. Section 9.2 of the Terms of Service applies.
9. Changes and contact
9.1 We change this policy only as section 19 of the Terms of Service allows. A change never applies to an order already placed.
9.2 Shipping questions go to support@tokyofishmarket.com. Legal notices go to legal@tokyofishmarket.com. Manda SENC, 418, avenue des Pins Ouest, bureau 40, Montréal (Québec) H2W 1S2, Canada.
